Pea Puffers + Dwarf Gouramis

I've been wanting to buy Dwarf Gourami's for the past forever months and I finally purchased them! They're extremely shy so it's best to have the tank heavily planted. Before I get into further detail, here's my simple tank set up.

I have a cycled tank that has 4 red platys, 3 neon tetras, 4 pea puffers, a few shrimps and snails. I added them in today and they seem to really like the environment. my tank is a 10 gallon and most people would say that's over stocking but I change my water every two days ( I love my water crystal clear). I currently use a sponge filter but I'm planning on getting a stronger filter. I also have a small rock decoration in the middle so any small fish can hide in there. Currently a pea puffer has taken residence (lol).

Now pea puffers are extremely aggressive, depending on their own temperament. I have one pea puffer who is a total A hole and the three other are semi aggressive. They do have their squabbles but it tends to die down in a minute. They don't bother the platys or neon tetras. At first they did but now they give zero poo about them.

They tried to size up the dwarf gourami (I have a male and female) but failed miserably as the male gourami glared at them (Lol). It was really amusing to watch. And soon the pea puffers ignored the Gourami too. Definitely keep an eye on them for the month though just to make sure.

Otherwise, if you plan to make a tank like me, you should do fine.

Good Luck~
